The Centers for Educational Equity and Excellence: Supporting Historically Marginalized Students at Berkeley | 2:00 p.m. PSTLearn about programs and resources for first-generation and historically marginalized students in a session hosted by the Centers for Educational Equity and Excellence (CE3). Comprising multiple distinct programs, CE3 offers a comprehensive array of academic counseling programs, supplemental aid, and scholarships to support former foster youth, veterans, student parents, undocumented students, and transfer students of all ages and life experiences. CE3 connects students in need with critical resources — from holistic academic guidance, scholarships, mentoring, and career preparation to nutrition and child care support. Early Start and First Year Pathways For Newly Admitted Students (Fall Program for Freshmen, Global Edge, and Freshman/Transfer Edge) | 11:00 a.m. PSTThe Fall Program for Freshmen (FPF) hosts students from the College of Letters & Science into a learning community of close connection with advisors, faculty and peers. It's like starting in a small residential college, taking FPF classes for an additional fee. The Freshman/Transfer Edge Program gives newly admitted freshmen and transfers an early start by offering them the opportunity to take summer courses, learn about campus resources, and build community before fall semester. The Global Edge program allows freshmen to spend their summer at Berkeley taking courses, then their fall semester studying abroad in London. Join us to learn more!
